Make 4 side dish servings with this buttered celery root recipe for an elegant dinner party, or double the recipe and set out for an appetizer at any family style dinner, party or event.
Ingredients
* 1 lb. celery root * 1/4 C. melted butter * 1 garlic clove, mashed * juice of 1 lemon * 1 tsp. prepared mustard
Directions
Peel or scrape the root and cook in boiling salted water for 20 minutes. Do not over cook. Drain well. Cut into 1/4 inch strips. Put the butter in a bowl and stir in the garlic. Add lemon juice and mustard and mix well. Discard bits of garlic. Spoon mixture over warm celery root.
