Fried cauliflower florets are a tasty treat that can be served as an appetizer with a ranch dipping sauce or as a side to a grilled fish or chicken entree. They also make a great snack for football games or a family movie night. Serve immediately while breading is still fresh.
Ingredients
* 1 med. head of cauliflower * 2 eggs, well beaten * 1/2 C. sifted all purpose flour * salt and pepper * 1/4 C. milk * 1/4 C. heavy cream * olive oil for frying * grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
Wash and trim cauliflower. Break it into florets. Place eggs, flour, and salt and pepper to taste in a bowl. Combine milk, cream and butter and add flour to mixture to make a batter. Dip florets into batter. Fry the breaded florets, a few at a time, in the hot olive oil. Serve hot with a sprinkle of freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
