Anchovy and Mozzarella Crostini PDF Print E-mail

This Italian appetizer is super easy to make.

Ingredients

* 8 slices white bread
* 16 anchovy fillets
* 1/2 lb. mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
* 1/2 C. butter

Directions

Cut the crust off the bread and cut slices in half. Place a thin slice of mozzarella and 1 fish fillet on each of 8 half slices of bread. Cover with the other half slices to make 16 half sandwiches. Heat butter in frying pan and fry sandwiches on both sides until golden brown. Serve immediately. Serves 2-4.
