Filet Mignon Steaks PDF Print E-mail

A good red meat meal is a needed in everyone diet every so often, make this filet mignon recipe for a dinner for 4. Serve with a red sauce ravioli side and a good red Burgundy.


Ingredients

* 3 1/2 lbs. beef fillet
* 2 thin slices of garlic
* 4 fresh parsley sprigs, leave only
* 3 Tbs. sweet butter, melted
* peeper and salt
* truffles

Directions

Trim the beef fillet of the tough skin and sinews and cut in into 4 filets. Chop garlic and parsley together and stir them into the butter then set aside. Sprinkle the meat with pepper. Place the steaks over a hot charcoal fire or in a broiler, 6 inches from the source of the heat. Cook on each side for 4 minutes. Season with salt. Remove from the heat immediately and place on warm plates. Shave truffles over them.
